Goldstone

Goldstone is a type of glittering glass made in a low-oxygen reducing atmosphere. The most common form of goldstone is reddish-brown, containing tiny crystals of metallic copper that give it its distinctive sparkle. The origins of goldstone date back to 17th-century Venice, where it was accidentally discovered by glassmakers seeking to create a form of aventurine glass.
