Celestite, also known as celestine, is a mineral characterized by its beautiful pale blue color and crystal formations. It belongs to the strontium sulfate mineral group and has the chemical formula SrSO4. Celestite is named after the Latin word "caelestis," meaning celestial or heavenly, due to its ethereal blue color reminiscent of the sky.
