- What is Fulgurite? 

Fulgurites are natural tubes, clumps, or masses of sintered, vitrified, and/or fused soil, sand, rock, organic debris and other sediments that sometimes form when lightning discharges into ground. Fulgurites are classified as a variety of the mineraloid lechatelierite.

- How is Fulgurite Formed? 

Fulgurite is the name given to tubes formed when lightning strikes sand or soil. Lightning carries extreme amounts of static energy that gets released in one very small spot where lightning hits.
