A German KS98-style dress bayonet made for ceremonial and uniform wear. This long-blade example features a bright, single-edged blade with a broad fuller, black checkered grip panels, a nickel-finished bird’s-head pommel, and a recurved crossguard.
The bayonet includes the black-painted steel scabbard shown and measures approximately 17 inches overall.
The blade retains a highly polished finish with scratches, light staining, and signs of previous cleaning or polishing. The hilt fittings show tarnishing, scratches, surface wear, and scattered plating loss. The grip panels remain intact with light handling wear. The scabbard displays scratches, scuffs, spotting, and areas of missing black finish consistent with age.
No belt frog is included. Please review all photographs carefully for condition and identifying details.
