A German KS98-style dress bayonet produced for ceremonial and uniform wear. This long-blade example features a bright, single-edged blade with a broad fuller, black checkered grip panels, a nickel-finished bird’s-head pommel, and a recurved quillon.
The bayonet includes the black-painted steel scabbard shown and measures approximately 14½ inches overall.
The blade retains a bright polished finish with scratches, light spotting, staining, and signs of previous cleaning or polishing. The hilt fittings show scratches, tarnishing, oxidation, and corrosion around the guard. The grip panels display handling wear and surface marks. The scabbard has scratches, scuffs, small areas of finish loss, and general age-related wear.
No belt frog is included. Please review all photographs carefully for condition, markings, and identifying details.
