1715 Spanish Fleet Wreck Pottery -

July 31, 1715

This piece of Spanish pottery was from the wreck of the Great 1715 Spanish Treasure Fleet. On July 31, 1715, a great hurricane hit the fleet laden with the new world treasure bound for Spain. The storm caused the complete distraction of every ship scattering the treasure, and all contents of the ship, like this pottery piece, up and down the Atlantic Coast.
